Brad Hermes named new CFO

Brad HermesWe are delighted to announce the appointment of Brad Hermes as our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  

As CFO, Brad will direct, administer and coordinate the overall activities of the Finance Office in accordance with CSD’s policies, goals, objectives and budget.  He will be responsible for maintaining the fiscal soundness and the overall financial and budgetary functions of our company.  Brad’s primary functions include strategic planning,  leadership and oversight of accounting, payroll, investments, financial compliance and reporting activities.  He will collaborate with the CEO and President on all strategic and tactical matters pertaining budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting and the securing of new funding. Brad will serve as our main internal and external point of contact for finance-related matters including annual financial audits of CSD financial statements.  

Brad, who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), comes to us with nearly 10 years of experience of leading teams in accounting and finance.  He is experienced in advising and maintaining relationships with clients in various industries nationally and abroad, including non-profit, government, healthcare and technology industries.  Most recently, he was employed as an Audit Manager at KPMG LLP.  In this capacity he was responsible for managing a team of audit professionals along with the daily management of audit engagements, budgeting and working with other cross departmental teams within tax, advisory and technology groups.  Prior to his role as Audit Manager, he was an Audit Senior Associate at an overseas branch in the United Kingdom, leading audit teams for grants and higher education funding.  Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas.   He also currently serves as a board member and Treasurer for the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation.
