POSITION:  Flash Developer (Sioux Falls, SD)

Position Description:

The Flash Developer will be a member of the Strategic (Marketing/Public Relations) team, and will be responsible for development of flash and rich media components to be integrated into CSD websites.  The Flash Developer will work with designer(s) and programmer(s).  Flash Developer will report to the Corporate Marketing and Public Relations Director.

Essential Functions:

• Primarily developing Interactive Web and Flash Applications. Creating a highly interactive online experience for clients and customers.
• Responsible for designing and architecting the dynamic behavior that work within Flash component.​
• Responsible for HTML and Javascript coding with the Flash components.
• Responsible for developing clean, crisp and engaging user interfaces.
• Web Services
• Coordinate API and database connectivity to userface.
• Problem-solving in scripting, performance and optimization of interactive projects
• Experience with cross browser/platform development
• Starting from existing designs, created in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, you will develop and implement functionality and usability
• Frequent interaction with the design team and the marketing director of the company to plan, develop and maintain corporate web sites as well as provide technical guidance to the design team during the front-end design stage.
• Eager to stay on top of the technological revolution, be deadline oriented, a team player, good communicator, a problem solver and possess an ability to create long-term solutions.

Qualifications:

• B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years software development experience
• 2+ years of software development in Flash or Flex using AS3 or AS2
• Strong skills in HTML, XML, AJAX, ASP, JavaScript, Flash and CSS code development
• Strong skills in object oriented programming and architectural design patterns
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite : Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and  Flash (Flex and Air - highly desirable)
• Experience with server side technologies such as PHP, ASP.Net or Java.
• Experience with web services, databases, and SQL.
• Experience with user interface design and website information architecture.
• Proven ability to participate in multiple, concurrent projects.
• Track record of documenting work and writing specifications.
• Must be detail oriented, be able to meet timelines and manage multiple projects
• Familiar with the latest streaming video technologies is a plus
• Ability to communicate in American Sign Language desired.

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
