CSD Upgrades to CosmoCom
CSD has recently invested in an upgrade to its sizeable contact center platform technology in order to provide the services that consumers demand in the Information Age. Replacing old analog technology, CSD has purchased a new telephony platform from CosmoCom that uses the newer Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). This newer technology allows CSD greater flexibility in the types of incoming contact types it can accept as well as provides better reporting capabilities, long distance toll avoidance and intra-company communications. CSD and CosmoCom are truly providing a technology platform that bridges the communication gap across all barriers.
Contact Center Services
One of the defining milestones in communication access that CSD is actively invested in is the provision of direct video-to-video customer service in ASL to deaf individuals. CSD has long recognized the significance of the ability of deaf consumers to communicate directly with others in ASL. For deaf individuals, it is empowering to be in direct control of the communication - to understand and be understood in their own language. CSD also recognizes that the connection between the deaf individual and the other person is much stronger when the communication is direct. As a result, counseling, sales, or information sharing and gathering are much more likely to be successful. Therefore, video-to-video communications in ASL hold direct and tangible benefits for those entities that appreciate the value of that connection when reaching out to those individuals.
