POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Maintain all lawn care and snow removal of commercial and residential grounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lawn Care Functions
- Mow lawns as scheduled.
- Trim around trees and buildings, along the curbs and sidewalks.
- Trim bushes and prune trees as scheduled.
- Fall and spring clean up.
- Edge sidewalks as scheduled.
- Pick weeds from landscape areas.
- Any other labor duties as assigned.
Snow Removal Functions
- Snow blowing and shoveling sidewalks and driveways as scheduled.
- Snow plowing parking lots as scheduled.
- Spread salt or sand on sidewalks and parking lots.
- Ice scraping as needed.
- Any other labor duties as assigned.
General Functions
- May perform ground maintenance duties using equipments such as mowers, snow blowers and etc.
- May perform daily / regular maintenance routines of equipments such as change blades, check oil levels, and minor repairs as needed.
- May perform regular service maintenance of vehicles such as change oil and check levels and also repair vehicles as needed.
- May perform varieties of labor duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Lawn care and snow removal experience.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Experience in working with the deaf and hearing community.
- Must be able to do heavy lifting (approx. 50 pounds). Must be able to push heavy machinery for long periods of time.
- Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform routine or heavy manual tasks relevant to lawn care and snow removal.
